What Blender Add-on does
- Prompt-driven AI auto-layout with geometry-nodes collision avoidance
- RigNet ML auto-rigging — remesh, predict skin weights, import armature in Blender
- Raptor NFT generator with trait rarity rules, fast/deep modes, and metadata export
- Batch render and export pipeline (OBJ, GLB, FBX) for NFT collection drops
- One-click dependency install, Docker-managed RigNet, and Makefile release automation
Blender Add-on: background
This Blender 4.1 Python add-on streamlines 3D-to-NFT workflows inside the viewport. It ships as a packaged zip with one-click dependency installation (Docker, GitPython) and a custom sidebar UI.
The AI Assisted Auto Layout panel lets artists pick a collection of assets, enter a text prompt (e.g. interior design context), and run geometry-nodes-based placement with anti-collision spacing. A pure-Python placeNonCollide geometry node group distributes instances on a grid with minimum-distance checks and rotation variation.
AI Assisted Rigging integrates the RigNet research model (zhan-xu/RigNet) through a Docker container workflow. Users remesh and decimate multi-part collections into a prediction target mesh, start/stop the RigNet server from the panel, tune bandwidth and threshold parameters, predict skin weights, and import the generated armature with left/right bone naming fixes — all without leaving Blender.
The NFT Generator (Raptor) is a full trait-combination engine: analyze scene attributes, define rarity rules, fast/deep generate modes, auto-resolve trait amounts, batch render to image/video, export OBJ/GLB/FBX, and write metadata JSON for NFT drops. Animation & Pose Presets opens Blender's asset browser in a split viewport for drag-and-drop pose application.
Built with bpy operators, Hatch for packaging, pytest-blender for CI, and a Makefile pipeline for test → version bump → build → GitHub release.
